If your area has problems with honey bees, it’s best to call a professional removal expert with the ability to relocate the bees while minimizing any harm to them and to you. Honeybees are a vital part of our ecosystem and protecting them, and you, is important.
Most honey bees are not aggressive unless disturbed, although areas in the southern parts of the United States — like Texas, Florida, and California — are seeing increasing numbers of Africanized honey bees, which are extremely aggressive.
Honey bees generally don’t like to nest in an area that has a lot of traffic from humans or predatory insects. Most honey bees rarely infest homes and prefer to be left alone. The one exception to this is the Africanized honey bee, which is extremely aggressive.
Currently, none of our branches treat honey bees or remove their nests. Since they are a protected species in many states across the country, we rely on honeybee removal experts in many cases.
Find a responsible honey bee removal expert who follows state regulations. Try to preserve the hive and the honey as much as possible.
As the weather gets colder in Manchester & Surrounding Areas, all the bees in the hive gather together and vibrate their abdomens to make warmth. A few bees will die, even in a strong hive, but native bees are well equipped to survive the winter.
Body Color and Shape. Wasps have an elongated abdomen, and, usually, bright colors that stand out. Honey bees have a more muted yellow and black or brown appearance and have a more rounded body shape.
Hairs. Honey bees also have a large amount of fine hairs on their body and legs, making them look fuzzy. Few wasps have any hairs, and most have none at all.
Legs. Some honey bees that forage for nectar will also have yellowish clumps (pollen baskets) on their hind legs.
Besides making delicious honey, honey bees are valuable to the environment because they spread pollen between plants. This keeps plants strong and healthy and allows trees and other fruit-bearing plants to produce delicious food.
Africanized honey bees are the product of an experiment in Brazil where a scientist bred wild African honey bees with European honey bees.
After they were bred, Africanized honeybees were accidentally set loose. They spread throughout South America and have reached the southern United States, from Florida to Texas and California.
Africanized honey bees are extremely dangerous because they have large numbers of stinging bees in a single hive that are all willing to attack with little provocation.
If you live in a state with Africanized honey bees, be extremely cautious. In some of our areas, you can call Fox to be directed to a trustworthy Africanized honey bee removal expert.

EVERYTHING! Fox Pest is amazing. Period. If you want reliable, dedicated, knowledgeable folks who listen and respond - USE THEM! We were skeptical at first (door to door salesperson) but they are the absolute best!!! Example: After our initial treatment (you sign up, pay quarterly for their quarterly service) we had hornets and carpenter bees return. We had them come back FREE of charge and assess and take care of the problem twice! The second time we were working on a wooden, elevated structure around our pool. The banging caused some carpenter bees to fly around us, knocking into us. Nick came out the next day, spent over 30 minutes carefully inspecting our structure and other wooden structures around us and sprayed. He explained the chemicals, what they do and how the bees respond. Sure enough, next day we found 3 bees on the deck! No more problems in that area and we completed the project. :-) I highly recommend them! They are truly wonderful, we have had a great experience! Hoping the mice respond and move out when they come back in fall! Post My Review on Google
Great experience! Quinton was the salesman that came to my door he was very friendly and professional. Keith the technician was very professional he explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this company.
Just had Keith over at my house in Litchfield, NH! Super friendly & professional. Arrived right at the start of the 2 hour window they gave me. I have a dog & new baby at home, and he was very informative of what to be cautious of having them here with the chemicals. Highly recommend - the price was unbeatable, I plan to keep my business with them!
